Crack repair by RVP Gevelonderhoud
Cracking is repaired using two-component bonding and, where needed, wall ties for reinforcement. The bed joint is cut in to around 5 cm so the adhesive can be applied properly. The cement joint is then reapplied.
We repair cracks in facades, in chimneys and in garden walls. A crack is rarely just cosmetic: it is where moisture gets in and where frost spreads the damage. Acting in time saves many times the cost later.

What a crack tells you
A hairline crack in the joint is something else than a crack running straight through the bricks. During the survey we look at how the crack runs and whether it is still moving. That decides whether bonding is enough or wall ties are needed.
On facades with cracking, no local guarantee can be given on an impregnation treatment. That is why we always repair the cracks before the facade is impregnated.
