Lead replacement on the roof
The existing lead had been cut in too shallow and was coming loose in several places. That is by far the most common cause of leaks at roof details.
We reworked the detail with 18-pound lead and stainless steel clips. The joint was cut back to around 6 cm and finished neatly.
Before starting we assessed the existing fitting. Sometimes adjusting is enough, here replacement was the only sound solution.
